Reissued here in Argo's Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Series. Gatefold, made and printed in England by Robert Stace, contains both record and booklet. Cover art: Keith Vaughan, "Variations on a Theme 1960 (January 22 No 3)", in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Collection of Modern British Art. Personal note by Dorati on his work with Gerhard and the First Symphony on gatefold recto.

The gatefold carries blurbs by Peter Brinson, director of the Foundation's UK branch, and David Drew, the Series's programme director. Drew's brief note describes both this Gerhard LP and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Series 5 Roberto Gerhard, Antal Dorati - Symphony No. 1 / Dances From Don Quixote, and the accompanying booklet, half of which is devoted to the Skalkottas release, was clearly included with both records. Gatefold and booklet include photographs of Gerhard with his wife, in his studio, on the Costa Brava and in the company of other composers (his tutor Felipe Pedrell, Roger Sessions). Some of these are "reproduced by kind permission of Oxford University Press" and the photographers are themselves well-known names (Erich Auerbach, Gerti Deutsch, Louis Klementaski). The booklet, designed by Guy Brabazon and printed by Mundoprint B.V. in Holland, contains detailed notes by the Spanish composer Joaquim Homs and Gerhard himself, and plentiful musical examples.
