  • The usually impeccable Michel Legrand fails to work his magic on most of this album by his son Benjamin. The liberal use of electronic instruments makes this album appear dated, and has not masked the sound of Benjamin Legrand, who seems to have a sonorous speaking voice but, regrettably, cannot sing. The three bonus tracks at the end of the album bring back the big-band brassiness of Michel (and a sincerely angst-y Benjamin) and provide the much-needed buoyancy in this uneven production.
